On May 17th, a five-person representative delegation from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo paid a visit to Haikou University of Economics. Prof. Chen Xiao, President of HUE, welcomed them with sincere greeting and showed them around the beautiful campus. The two sides had a friendly meeting to exploit potential areas for further cooperation.

        President Chen Xiao introduced the development of HUE in recent years, especially the achievements regarding international cooperation and large-scale international activities. President Chen Xiao said that under the background of Belt and Road initiatives, in addition to cooperation with ASEAN countries and traditional countries for studying abroad, it is of great positive significance to discuss the possibility of cooperation with universities in Latin America.

         The representatives of Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo spoke highly of the achievements made by HUE and put forward some suggestions for further exchanges and cooperation. During the meeting, the two sides reached a preliminary consensus on potential  cooperation in the future.
