In order to strengthen education exchange and cooperation between Haikou University of Economics and Cambodian universities, Consul General of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Haikou, Mr. CHHUM Bunthan, and his delegation visited our university on October 21.

On behalf of the university, Executive President Zhu Huayou welcomed Consul General Chhum to Haikou. He said that the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Haikou has maintained close relation with HUE since its establishment in October 2019. President Zhu expressed his gratitude to the Consulate General for actively recommending Cambodian universities to cooperate with HUE, and helping recruit Cambodian students to study in the university. Mr. Zhu hoped that with the help of Cambodian Consulate General, Haikou University of Economics would continue to maintain good cooperation with Cambodia in terms of college exchange and international  students’ exchange.

Consul General CHHUM Bunthan expressed his great pleasure to assume his post in the beautiful island of Hainan. Cambodia and China are friendly countries; the close diplomatic relations have been maintained between the two countries. The Cambodian Consulate General is willing to contribute to the education and cultural exchange between Cambodia and China, and to keep the relation with Haikou University of Economics in order to build a bridge for the exchange of students between Cambodia and China.
         
          Accompanying Executive President Zhu Huayou in the meeting were Mrs. Wang Sa, Deputy Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Office and Mrs. Yang Yang , Vice Dean of the College of International Education.
